I knew this one was coming. JoBlo has a new video featuring on-set meltdowns by Christian Bale vs Lily Tomlin. You may remember Lily Tomlin lost her mind on the set of I Heart Huckabees. It's a battle of the f-word as two spoiled actors go at it.

Turns out Christian Bale is as mean as he is talentless. I've never liked Christian Bale, he's a bad actor with a weird mouth. Let's be honest, the only reason The Dark Knight worked was because of Heath Ledger's performance as The Joker. Oh, and here's a tip, Christian: Batman doesn't need to growl. Spider-Man doesn't growl. Superman doesn't growl. And Superman doesn't even wear a mask! Plus, shouldn't Commissioner Gordon be able to tell Bruce Wayne and Batman have the same freaky overbite? Not much of a cop if he can't put that together.

Anyway, by now everyone's heard the audio of Christian Bale exploding on the set of Terminator Salvation, screaming at the Director of Photography for accidentally walking on the set. You can listen to the original rant on TMZ. In true internet fashion, someone has turned the rant into a dance mix. Hilarious stuff but be warned, it's full of bad words.

THE DAY THE MUSIC DIED

50 years ago today, a plane crash took the lives of Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and The Big Bopper (J.P. Richardson).

As a kid, I would listen to my dad's 45 record of Buddy Holly's "Peggy Sue" over and over again. I still don't understand why popular music today can't be this good.

BRILLIANT BUT CANCELLED

Yahoo TV has a list, "The Best Brilliant But Cancelled Dramas of the Decade". While there was no mention of Wonderfalls, Firefly or Pushing Daisies, it was good to see the HBO series, Carnivale, listed. Carnivale was one of my favorite shows and I hated to see it end. It was apparent in Season Two that the show had changed direction, focusing on action and trying to tie up loose ends, in a last ditch effort to avoid cancellation.

This beautiful period drama, set during the great Depression, sank deep into the never-ending battle between good and evil, all against the backdrop of a traveling carnival. It boasted the most unique set of characters we'd seen since "Twin Peaks," and some of the most confusing storytelling we'd seen since that show as well. But just because we were sometimes baffled doesn't mean it wasn't compelling TV. This ambitious, artistic series set out to unfold its complete drama over six seasons but was cut short after only two, leaving us scratching our heads even more.

HBO's slogan is, "It's Not TV, It's HBO". But they acted just like regular television programmers when they cancelled this series after just two seasons. Carnivale is available on DVD.

STAR TREK SUPER BOWL COMMERCIAL

Paramount released the Super Bowl television spot for the upcoming film, Star Trek. I'm not a JJ Abrams fan but this is looking good.
