"I am a huge believer in the notion that while some films may be for adults and others for kids, and while some films may be of higher quality than those aimed at the lowest common denominator, escaping into the world of a film is a universal experience that we all crave, no matter who we are or how greatly our tastes differ. The goal of this video is to at least begin to capture the essence of what that lose-yourself-to-film feeling is like...and to show just how many kick-ass movies 2010 gave us (because it's pretty easy to forget)."

A woman born with no legs and only one arm is getting used to caring for her new baby. Melek, 24, and boyfriend Mehmet are overjoyed with their son Semih, who is now nine-months-old. The couple first met when they were 14, introduced by family friends after Mehmet moved to Denmark from Turkey, and slowly fell in love.
"I have had a lot of other girlfriends but never felt for anyone like I do for Melek," Mehmet said.
The pair became lovers when they were 18; later moving in together before getting married in Turkey two years ago, though their union isn't recognised in Denmark.
Melek said: "We always wanted children and we were so happy when we found out I was pregnant. I took the test five or six times."
However, both doctors and Melek's family were concerned about how her body would respond to, not to mention cope with, being pregnant. She was determined to give birth naturally but the decision was taken out of her hands when her waters unexpectedly broke.
Semih was born by caesarean section, weighing a healthy 8lb 6oz, the next morning with Melek under a general anaesthetic as doctors were unable to administer an epidural. But since leaving hospital it has been a sharp learning curve for the new mother, and Mehmet, as she is still learning how to handle the baby.
Melek added: "Family and friends have all said that they will be happy to help. We hope to get a bigger apartment that has a lift, a room for the baby and space for our dog Chanel."

Leslie Nielsen, who went from drama to inspired bumbling as a hapless doctor in "Airplane!" and the accident-prone detective Frank Drebin in "The Naked Gun" comedies, has died. He was 84.His agent John S. Kelly says Nielsen died Sunday at a hospital near his home in Ft. Lauderdale where he was being treated for pneumonia.
The Canadian-born Nielsen came to Hollywood in the mid-1950s after performing in 150 live television dramas in New York. With a craggily handsome face, blond hair and 6-foot-2 height, he seemed ideal for a movie leading man.
He quickly became known as a serious actor, although behind the camera he was a prankster. That was an aspect of his personality never exploited, however, until "Airplane!" was released in 1980 and became a huge hit.
And so he passed away from pneumonia. I know that's not how he wanted to go out. A parachute not opening... that's a way to die. Getting caught in the gears of a combine... having your nuts bit off by a Laplander, that's the way he should have gone!
"This has been one maddening labor of love for me. This is a remix of a movie that has been near and dear to be since around Third Grade-- the 1993 romantic-comedy-fantasy classic, Groundhog Day! It's comprised entirely-- and I mean entirely out of small bits and pieces of the movie, either re-pitched, slowed down, sped up, and sometimes with a slight touch of auto-tune for good measure (or a lot of auto-tune to re-configure chords in some score samples). The piece is completely inspired from my love of all things Pogo (aka the genius remixer from Perth), as well as just my affinity for music itself. I readjusted Jack Conte's VideoSong medium to show every single one of the parts sampled. I tried to make this song a sweeping medley of emotions, quite in the same way the movie itself is! I do so hope you enjoy its whimsicality. *grins* It's quite a smorgasbord of sight and sound. Am I right or am I right or am I right or am I right?"

"This year saw the passing of a comic great: Frank Frazetta. I've been a long time fan of his work and had always wanted to try and mimic his artistic syle. For a couple years people have been urging me to try Vampirella, so I picked up a run of the Warren comics reprints and as many of the newer Harris Publishing run as I could. I did enjoy the character, and I wanted to pay tribute to Frazetta."
