THE TRUTH IS ALF THERE

Mulder and Scully finally catch an alien in this illustration called "The Alf Files" by Tim Tomkinson.

I wish the last X-Files movie had been this interesting.

BOY WITH 31 FINGERS AND TOES

This little piggy went to market. And these little piggies really creep me out.

An unidentified boy in China born with 15 fingers and 16 toes, a new world's record, goes under the knife to remove the extra digits.

Metro has the full story:

The 6-year-old boy, from the city of Shenyang in China's northeastern Liaoning province, has a total of 31 fingers and toes - 16 toes, and 15 fingers (although one of those fingers is incomplete, being a fork at the end of the right thumb.) Three fingers on each hand are fused together.

That beats the current world record of 25, held jointly by two Indian children, Pranamya Menaria and Devendra Harne, who both have 12 fingers and 13 toes.

But the boy will go under the surgeon's knife today to remove the additional digits, local media have reported.

The boy has a condition known as polydactyly, in which one of a variety of genetic disorders - which can be inherited, or new mutations - gives rise to the supernumerary digits.

Most commonly, the extra digits appear on the little finger side of the hand - but this boy appears to have the much rarer condition of central polydactyly, in which the middle fingers and toes are duplicated.

FORBIDDEN IMAGES

Filmmakers, at least the good ones, always push boundaries and challenge audiences. But early theater owners often faced fines and even arrest if the images they showed to the public were too suggestive.

The video above was create from a discarded reel of 35mm nitrate found in an old theater in Pennsylvania. The projectionist had cut out certain scenes from various movies to abide by the moral standards of the time.

Apparently images of feet were too shocking for audiences of that era.

Marvel Studios announced Thor will be moved up two weeks from May 20th, 2011 to May 6th, 2011. Also, Marvel finally released an official synopsis for the film:

The epic adventure THOR spans the Marvel Universe; from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.
