BACK TO THE RACKS
If you're like me (and you really should be more like me), you love finding bizarre and weird movies. What makes the find even greater is discovering an out-of-print movie or a film that never made it to dvd. KandJHorror, from their now defunct website, started a YouTube series called, "Back to the Racks", showcasing their vhs collection of some of the most obscure movies ever created. Not only do they show you hard-to-find films but they also display various box art the movies have had over the years through different releases and distributors. Needless to say, it's an amazing and incredible collection. But be careful when watching, because while you'll be mesmerized by all the videos, you'll suddenly realize you're completely hooked on this series.

ZOMBIE SAFE HOUSE
The zombie apocalypse could happen at any moment and few of us will be prepared. But if you're the owner of this house, you can simply push a button and steel shutters will drop, concrete slabs will cover the windows and the drawbridge will raise, completely isolating you from the undead. Read more about this safe house here.

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS THEATRICAL TRAILER
20th Century Fox has released the official theatrical trailer for Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class, which looks much better than the teaser trailer. Don't get me wrong, I liked the teaser trailer but with the theatrical trailer, there's a much stronger sense of their origin and the inevitable conclusion of how the team will splinter. X-Men: First Class opens June 3rd.

NERD NEWS ROUND-UP
Nintendo confirmed they will release a new game console in 2012.
Warner Bros. dumps another 9 million for more special effects on their upcoming Green Lantern movie but his costume is still an eyesore. Maybe they'll use that money to give him boots. Seriously, is anyone excited about this film? With Thor, Captain America: First Avenger and X-Men: First Class coming out this summer, who cares about this cg-mess of a movie?
The annoying guy in the Old Spice commercials wants to be in a Luke Cage movie. Maybe they can get the old man from the Dos Equis ads to play Iron Fist.
The Avengers movie has begun shooting and they've released the first official photo from the set (see above) and a press release.
See Starbuck and Starbuck in Starbucks drinking Starbucks.

NEW X-MEN: FIRST CLASS TRAILER
There's not much new footage to see in this new trailer for X-Men: First Class but that shot of Banshee flying gave me a nerdgasm!

SUCKER PUNCH REVIEW
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest + Showgirls - nudity + video games = Sucker Punch
I know what you're saying. "I love movies about mental illness but I miss fetish costumes." I'm all for movies where the women wear school girl outfits while fighting dragons but Sucker Punch manages to make it dull and repetitive. Sure, Emily Browning has a great belly button but you can't make a movie around it. Imagine watching your friend play the video game, Rumble Roses XX, for two hours and you've got Sucker Punch. It looks pretty but there's no tension. Plus, Rumble Roses XX has better costumes and acting.
The little bit of plot has Baby Doll (the characters even have video game names) trying to escape an insane asylum after being wrongfully imprisoned. Basically it's a womens' prison movie but without shower scenes or cat fights. Scott Glenn has a line in the film, "Don't ever write a check with your mouth, you can't cash with your ass." And director Zack Snyder does just that, he cashes in on this turkey with his ass.
If Charlie Sheen made a kids' movie, it would be Sucker Punch.
Zack Snyder's next movie is Superman: The Man of Steel, which should have comic book fans very worried.

NEW THOR POSTERS
WATCH FOUR MINUTES OF GREEN LANTERN
Based on positive fan reaction at WonderCon, Warner Bros. has released four minutes of Green Lantern online. The aliens and costume still look too fake/cg for me but other fans seem to be impressed. What do you think?

NEW TV'S WONDER WOMAN IN ACTION
A couple of amateur video clips of Adrianne Palicki (or her stunt woman in the top clip) as Wonder Woman from the upcoming tv series have been posted online. You'll want to watch them while you can because I'm sure they won't be available for long.
WATCH FIVE MINUTES OF SUCKER PUNCH
Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch didn't exactly wow audiences or critics when it was released last Friday, so in an attempt to boost the box office, they've released the first six minutes of the movie online. I'll be catching a screening of it myself this weekend but I have to admit, I don't have high hopes for the film. Meanwhile, enjoy this extended sneak peek and let me know what you think.
