My dad, or "Pop" as I called him, died in 2006.  He was an avid collector and owned a lot of records, particularly 45 rpm records.  Over the last few months, I've begun selling the collection to raise money for my mom and have discovered a lot of music I never knew existed.  Some of the tunes are rediscoveries, songs I had forgotten, but mostly a new world of music has been opened to me and I thought I'd share some of the best ones with a new weekly feature.

Canadian musician Jack Scott kicks off the first post of Pop's Tunes with his song "Goodbye Baby" from 1959.  The song hit number 8 on the Billboard Charts and Jack is still performing the hit tune today.
