LA MUJER MURCIELAGO (THE BATWOMAN) UPDATE

Recently I did a post on the 1968 Mexican film, La Mujer Murcielago (The Batwoman). After a little more online digging, I found this great vintage poster. And that's not all, Super Strange Video has the film on DVD-R. It's in it's original Spanish language with no subtitles but it is available on DVD! I'm hoping we'll see a remastered version with subtitles someday but meanwhile head on over to Super Strange Video.

BATWOMAN MEXPLOITATION

This 1968 Mexican production of La Mujer Murcielago (The Batwoman) isn't officially available on DVD yet but you can get a sneak peek of the opening title sequence as well as a few clips of scenes in this video.

Directed by Rene Cardona and starring Maura Monti as Gloria/Batwoman, La Mujer Murcielago tells the story of a mad scientist creating a supreme race of Super-Gil Men by using the bodies of wrestlers. With wrestlers dying all across Acapulco, a call goes out for the caped crime-fighter, Batwoman!

While not available on Amazon or eBay, a Google search revealed some torrents available of La Mujer Murcielago but I haven't tried them myself. Meanwhile, enjoy the clip.
