RYAN REYNOLDS TALKS DEADPOOL

Hitfix interviewed Ryan Reynolds and he confirmed he is actively working on the Deadpool spin-off from X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

"Well, I'm intimately involved with it. We're just trying to break a story right now and figure out who the villain is going to be and all that stuff. But, it's going to be just like the comic books. I'm gonna have a messed up face and you may see some flashbacks of Wade earlier in his life, but primarily what you see is what you get in the comics and that's the goal. And there is no better place to draw material from then the comics which are incredible."

We all know how the character was destroyed in the last film so I don't hold much hope for the spin-off. Still, Reynolds was good as Wade Wilson. Maybe this time around they'll actually have a coherent script and a good director. Oh, who am I kidding, it's going to suck. Seriously, if they can't get Wolverine right after 3 previous X-Men films, what chance does Deadpool have?

WOLVERINE IN 30 SECONDS

With this 30 second recap you can experience the wonder of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, as...

"Hugh Jackman reprises the role that made him a superstar – as the fierce fighting machine who possesses amazing healing powers, retractable claws and a primal fury. Leading up to the events of X-Men, X-Men Origins: Wolverine tells the story of Wolverine's epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe whose appearances in the film series have long been anticipated." --© 20th Century Fox

Turn your speakers up as high as they'll go. You'll want to pay special attention to the subtle nuances in the dialogue.

WOLVERINE SEQUEL

It's official, Variety reports 20th Century Fox announced a sequel for X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Hugh Jackman and Seed Productions partner John Palermo are ramping up several projects for the "Wolverine" star.

Fox and Seed are in development on a sequel to "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," which topped the domestic box office over the weekend.

The Seed partners have begun planning the sequel, which they are squarely focusing on the samurai storyline originated in the comic series, and whose Japanese locale was teased after the film's final credits. A writer has yet to be hired. Seed will produce.

Here's hoping they've learn from their mistakes and will make a good movie this time. Oh, who am I kidding? It's Hollywood, they never learn from their mistakes.

DISTRICT 9

I went to see X-Men Origins: Wolverine on Friday night and the best thing about the movie was getting to see a trailer for the upcoming film, District 9. IMDb describes the plot as, "an extraterrestrial race forced to live in slum-like conditions on Earth suddenly find a kindred spirit in a government agent that is exposed to their biotechnology."

Now this looks like a movie that's worth my 8 bucks. Thanks for nothin', Wolverine.

GOT CLAWS?

Claws does a body good. Or something like that. Here's Hugh Jackman appearing as Wolverine in a new Body by Milk advertisement. So come on parents, use your "common mutant sense" and give your kids milk.

X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE ONLINE

An early print of X-Men Origins: Wolverine has been leaked onto the internet. Apparently it's a high quality print of the film and available through bittorrent sites as well as other websites. As you can imagine, 20th Century Fox is not happy about this and issued the following statement:

"Last night, a stolen, incomplete and early version of X-Men Origins: Wolverine was posted illegally on a website. It was without many effects, had missing and unedited scenes and temporary sound and music. We immediately contacted the appropriate legal authorities and had it removed. We forensically mark our content so we can identify sources that make it available or download it. The source of the initial leak and any subsequent postings will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law – the courts have handed down significant criminal sentences for such acts in the past. The FBI and the MPAA also are actively investigating this crime. We are encouraged by the support of fansites condemning this illegal posting and pointing out that such theft undermines the enormous efforts of the filmmakers and actors, and above all, hurts the fans of the film."

Personally, I think I'm going to be hurt by forking out my money and actually watching this film on the big screen. The movie looks pretty bad and I've already heard several fanboys complaining about the way Deadpool is to be portrayed in the film. Oh well, at least I have Star Trek to look forward to the following week.

MORE WOLVERINE PHOTOS

X-Men Films.Net has 8 exclusive new photos from the upcoming film, X-Men Origins: Wolverine. These photos, along with the trailers, aren't selling me on this movie. It's looking pretty bad and Liev Schreiber looks laughable as Sabertooth.

WITH APOLOGIES TO ALAN MOORE

Yet another hilarious "I'm a Marvel, I'm a DC" video, this time focusing on Watchmen vs X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I liked Watchmen but like I always say, "make mine Marvel."

LATEST WOLVERINE TRAILER

How many trailers can Fox release for the same movie? I've lost count of the number of trailers released for X-Men Origins: Wolverine. This one is looking better and giving me a little bit more hope that Wolverine will be done right on the big screen.

3 NEW WOLVERINE TRAILERS

Marvel has 3 new trailers for X-Men Origins: Wolverine online. The trailers don't look very promising. I think they need to go back for more re-shoots.
