Actor Pat Hingle died Saturday, January 3, 2009 from blood cancer in his North Carolina home. He was 84 years old. Hingle, better known to fanboys as Commissioner Gordon in the 1989 film Batman and its three sequels, was a member of the legendary Actors Studio with a career spanning over six decades. His last movie was the 2006 film, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.Link
