Nino Ferrer was a famous French - Italian singer, actor, jazz musician and a very interesting character. "Le Telfon" was a huge success but Ferrer became disillusioned with show business and moved from Paris to Italy. After an affair with Brigitte Bardot, he moved back to France in 1970. He continued to record and perform, although his stubborness and refusal to compromise his artistic integrity hurt his career. His mother died in 1998 leaving Ferrer despondent. He commited suiced a month after her death, just a few days before his 64th birthday.
