YOU'VE COME A LONG WAY, WONDER WOMAN
Okay, so she's not Wonder Woman but it's obviously implied in this vintage Virginia Slims advertisement. Let me get this straight... women are more resistant to starvation, fatigue, exposure, shock and illness than men are, as well as being less inclined to be bald (no new news there). So women should smoke slim cigarettes instead of those big fat manly coffin nails. Now there's some good advice. Funny how there's no mention in the ad that smoking is the most preventable cause of premature death in the United States. Smoke 'em if you got 'em, ladies, while you clog your arteries, increase your blood pressure, develop cancer and lung problems as well as coronary heart disease. Smoking may also cause eye problems. I hope Wonder Woman can still find her invisible jet with cataracts. You may have "come a long way, baby", but Virginia Slims wants to stop you dead in your tracks.

I do love all those vintage cigarette ads. lol
They are great. It's always fun to see how things have changed over the years.
So you don't want to smoke? Really? Or how about working as a lobbiest for the tobacco industry? Hahaha
Very funny, "Anonymous".
