WOLVERINE SEQUEL

It's official, Variety reports 20th Century Fox announced a sequel for X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Hugh Jackman and Seed Productions partner John Palermo are ramping up several projects for the "Wolverine" star.

Fox and Seed are in development on a sequel to "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," which topped the domestic box office over the weekend.

The Seed partners have begun planning the sequel, which they are squarely focusing on the samurai storyline originated in the comic series, and whose Japanese locale was teased after the film's final credits. A writer has yet to be hired. Seed will produce.

Here's hoping they've learn from their mistakes and will make a good movie this time. Oh, who am I kidding? It's Hollywood, they never learn from their mistakes.

What will they call it? "MORE-igins"?

I kind of liked it, but I was not expecting anything.

They are also talking about a Deadpool movie...not sure about that one.

HA! I love that, Darius. "MORE-igins"! Hilarious.

And yes Tim, they are on the fast-track for a Deadpool movie. I guess I should have posted something about that. Maybe I'll get to it tonight.

I like Ryan Reynolds, but (and I am not a comic_book_ fan) I get the feeling Rob Leifield is a dick, and therefore Deadpool will be a shitty character. I got really tired of all the anti-hero crap Marvel was (over)doing in the '90s.

As for More-igins... I guess they should squeeze every turd out of Hugh they can get before he gets too old ;-)

That CGI Patrick Stewart was too f*cking much for me, btw. Hell of a way to end things.

It's funny you say that because I always got the feeling Rob Leifield was a dick too. But that's probably my intense hatred for his drawing.

And I agree, the CGI Patrick Stewart looked creepy.

I haven't seen this one yet. I've heard mixed reaction on it.
