JBooks has an audio interview with comic book legend Harvey Pekar discussing his childhood and Jewish identity.
Harvey Pekar is a true pioneer of comic books, writing the autobiographical
American Splendor, a series of his mundane life. At one time, he was a regular guest on the
Late Night with David Letterman. Always confrontational and hostile, Harvey was eventually banned from the show. The film adaptation of
American Splendor was released in 2003 and became one of the best comic book movies ever made.
