Variety reports Columbia Pictures picked up an untitled pitch from screenwriter Stan Chervin about the life of P.T. Barnum. The film will cover the early years of his life, who started as a shopkeeper and rose to the ultimate showman, creating his own circus, "The Greatest Show on Earth".
The life of P.T. Barnum is fascinating and long overdue for a big screen adaptation. Here's hoping Hollywood gets it right.
